Emotional Regulation

Emotional regulation, or the ability to manage one’s emotions, is an important skill that lots of people need help with, children and adults alike. Mostly based on the work of Michelle Garcia-Winner and The Zones of Regulation, I use a specific framework to help both young people and their families learn how to regulate and communicate when upset. The process can be fun, eye-opening, and valuable. Families develop common language to use with one another about various feelings and develop healthy strategies to feel better.
